Whitney Wolfe, who founded the Bumble App to help people find their suitable mates has just been married off to the love of her life. Her love affair with her husband Michael Herd is described as a fairy tale. The two lovebirds tied the knot at the Villa Trevile, which lies in Positano along Italy Amalfir Coast. The hash tag for the wedding was #homeiswheretheherdis, and it trended for days after the wedding. Although it was a private affair, friends and family could not resist sending snaps tagging others to the colorful event.
The wedding is described as simply breathtaking. Some of the highlights were the wedding gown worn by Whitney, which was an Oscar De La Renta design. The venue was also candle lit, giving the guests a clear view of the romantic coast. It was even more fascinating to watch Whitney after the wedding as she changed into a stunning evening dress. The cream-colored silky slip dress caught the eyes of many, who could not take their eyes off the beautiful bride. The reception arena was also breathtaking; it was covered by lemon trees canopies, which accented the lemon menus and dinner tables. The fruitcake was also different being single tiered; it was topped with fresh fruits such as fresh strawberries.
Whitney Wolfe and Michel Herd, who is the heir of the Texas Oil, met three years back on a Valentine day. They have been friends since then but Whitney was only engaged last July.
Who is Whitney Wolfe
Whitney is the founder of Bumble Dating App, which she founded to help women get more power in relationships. Whitney felt that women are subject to so much abuse in their relationships since men hold so much power. In Bumble, only women can make the first move to the men that they like and swipe away the men they do not like. Whitney says that when a woman makes the first initiative in relationship, the man knows that he can be ditched anytime he misbehaves. Consequently, the man behaves more carefully and women are safer.
Other than Bumble, Whitney also founded Bumble BFF, which allows women to interact with other women. Whitney founded the branch in response to the rising loneliness among women, who had been betrayed by other girls. She felt that Bumble BFF would help women identify women with the qualities that would match their demands for friends.
Whitney Schooled at Dedman College and Southern Methodist University.
